Week of Nov 10-14

Hello Morehead Families!

Please bear with me as I attempt to make this website easier to keep updated with all of the latest news. Because the Communications Committee is, in fact, one person, it has been somewhat challenging to keep up with making sure that the Announcements page is always current. I am switching to this blog-style format on the Home page in an effort to make things easier for me and (with any luck) more useful for you. The newest announcements will always be at the top of the page, and you will always be able to scroll down to view older announcements. I also hope that this will make the translation process easier so that the Spanish side of things is current as well.

The big news this week is that we raised over $14,000 in our auction last week! That is amazing. Big thanks to all of the many volunteers who were involved in pulling off a fun event, and to all the generous bidders who helped to make it a successful fundraiser. We have lots and lots of ideas for ways that we as a community can help our teachers and staff expand and enhance the education experience of our children, and of course it all costs money. So, particularly in the current economic and political climate, our dollars (your dollars) are crucial. So thank you! And please continue to give as you are able. It truly does make a difference, every little bit.

Next up is the Book Fair! Can you help out by volunteering a bit of your time?  We need many hand to make the event a Sign up to volunteer here: www.SignUpGenius.com/go/20F0A4BACA72DAA8-20141  Please volunteer to work a shift or 2.  Also, we will have our annual preview breakfast for the teachers on the 17th.  You can sign up to bring items for the breakfast on the Sign-Up Genius page. There is also a flyer coming home with information about the Book Fair!  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Kinsey Wennerstrom!  Thank you for your support!
